Caregivers Over 55: What will happen to your loved one with mental illness when they outlive you?
Are you concerned about what will happen to your loved one with mental illness when they outlive you? This is a very common and important concern, but it is emotionally difficult to face your own mortality.
This workshop will allow you to explore ways to adjust to this phase and how to share or pass along caregiving responsibilities. We will also discuss experiences, feelings, and thoughts on this phase of caregiving and provide an opportunity to better understand the difficulties that can come with a diminishing capacity to care for a family member with mental illness.
Caregivers over the age of 55 will benefit the most from this workshop, but if you are younger and are actively concerned about a loved one who lives with mental illness, then we may have a place for you here too.
