The aim of this workshop is to provide caregivers with both preventive and in-the-moment crisis interventions for their loved ones. Dr. Kate Drury will draw from several trauma-informed therapies such as EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), DBT (Dialectical Behaviour Therapy) and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy to provide you with strategies for more effective caregiving. We will be looking at strategies to better manage our own nervous systems as well as those of our loved ones who live with mental illness.
