Programs & Support

AMI-Quebec offers many programs for caregivers and some for people suffering from mental illness. Many of our programs are available across Quebec (via telephone or internet). Some programs are available in Montreal only.

Coping Skills  

One session workshops for caregivers about coping skills. 


Meeting with a counselor can help you manage your relationship with your afflicted loved one.

Education for families

We offer education sessions for families living with Borderline Personality Disorder. 

LEAP Communication

Workshops for caregivers to learn how to better communicate with their ill loved one.

Public Awareness

Presentations are offered to schools and community organizations giving an overview of mental illnesses, warning signs and coping strategies. A volunteer speaker tells their story on overcoming mental illness.

Support groups

An average of 12 support groups are held each month for family, friends, and people living with mental illness. 


Held over the telephone, teleworkshops feature an expert speaking on a specific topic and a Q&A open to all participants.


Available over the internet, webinars feature an expert speaking on a specific topic and a chance to ask questions.
