AMI’s Weekly Walking Group!

Next walk: Tuesday, September 23 at 4:30pm sharp

Leaving from the AMI office, 5800 Decarie, Montreal

Email info@amiquebec.org with any questions

As part of our continuing efforts to encourage physical activity as a path to improved mental health, we have introduced a weekly walking group!

What is it? A weekly walking group, no need to RSVP or to attend every week.

Who is it for? Open to all friends of AMI, including family caregivers and their loved ones, regardless of ability.

How will we walk? We will separate into two groups, one going at a gentle pace and one for faster walkers, so don’t be shy to choose the right group for you. The group that goes at a gentle pace usually covers about 1.5kms (including a rest stop at the halfway point if you wish) and the quicker group about 3 kms.

Where do we meet? We will leave from the parking lot behind the AMI office, 5800 Decarie, Montreal.

When is it? Every Tuesday at 4:30pm sharp. Plan to be with us for about 45 minutes, including a motivating introduction.

Why should I participate? To discover how physical activity can improve your mental health. It’s an opportunity to socialize in the fresh air, or to just walk in quiet companionship.

Interested? Maybe? Complete this form and we will email you reminders before each walk. No obligation but we hope you will join us!

If you have any other questions, reach out to Diana: info@amiquebec.org.

We need your help!

We’ve put together a quick survey about our weekly walking group, and we’d like to hear your thoughts about what’s working, what isn’t working, and what more we can offer to help you take care of both your physical and mental health.

So whether you’ve come to our group once, many times, or not at all (yet!), please take two minutes to share your thoughts with us.
