Mental Wellness for Caregivers

This workshop will be on our schedule again soon.

This interactive workshop will be held online via Google Meet (it’s like Zoom).

Email registration@amiquebec.org or call 514-486-1448 with any questions.

Stress, feelings of isolation, and guilt come up often as we look out for someone in ill health or struggling with their mental health. This workshop will explore how you can build your resiliency and find your wellness practices. We will map ways that you can ensure you are supported too, so that you aren’t pouring from an empty cup.

What should you expect?

???? Self-Care & Mental Health Awareness: Why prioritizing mental health is essential for caregivers and the long-term impact of neglecting wellness practices.

⚖️ Preventative Measures: Practical strategies like setting boundaries, scheduling downtime, practicing mindfulness, and recognizing early signs of burnout.

???? Resiliency vs Burnout: Understanding the difference and learning about the 7 types of rest and other needs for sustainable caregiving.

???? Building Your Circle of Support: How to identify and draw your support system to avoid burnout and maintain mental well-being.

???? Accessing Support & Resources: Discussion on reaching out for help, building a support network, and utilizing mental health resources effectively.

Join us to gain tools, strategies, and resources to help you navigate the caregiving journey with greater resilience and mental well-being. Through interactive workshops and a supportive community, we’ll explore strategies for managing caregiving challenges, addressing mental health concerns, fostering mental wellness practices, and connecting caregivers with community resources.

This is the second workshop in AMI-Quebec and Vent Over Tea’s three-event series “Helping the Helpers: Tools for Caregivers”, a series aiming to empower caregivers with knowledge and resources to navigate their roles with greater confidence and mental well-being. Each event stands alone–you can participate in one, or two, or all three.
