There’s nothing more discouraging than repeatedly trying to convince a relative who is ill to get help when your efforts fall on deaf ears. Come and learn how to better communicate with your ill loved one.
LEAP (Listen, Empathize, Agree, Partner) is based on simple common sense along with evidence-based principles. The idea is to strengthen mutual respect and trust, thereby allowing people with diverse attitudes and opinions to develop effective partnerships. It’s the type of approach that can help to reduce your anxiety and improve your relationship with your ill loved one.
Take this opportunity to familiarize yourself with help that works. Limited space and you must register in advance. Please use the form below or call 514-486-1448. Workshops are held at the AMI office (5800 Decarie) from 7-9pm and they are free!
