Boundaries are described by Prentis Hemphill as “the distance at which I can love you and me simultaneously”. Non-negotiable boundaries go one step further and refer to the ‘red lines’ you want to establish to protect your safety and integrity. In other words, what you are not willing to accept or tolerate in your relationships (for example: aggressive behaviour, substance use, dangerosity, etc). While of great importance, non-negotiable boundaries are often difficult to establish, especially for family caregivers.

This experiential workshop will help you to reflect on your own challenges in establishing and applying non-negotiable boundaries, and the impact of a relationship without non-negotiables.

Participants will be encouraged to share their own experiences through role play.
