Hoarding Resources

Hoarding is the accumulation of objects to the degree that it prevents the use of living space as it was originally intended. Hoarders have great difficulty parting with the objects they hoard. They have exaggerated beliefs about the importance or usefulness of these objects and have minimal insight into the negative consequences of their hoarding.

AMI-Quebec has a hoarding support group for family, friends, and people struggling with hoarding that meets once a month. Please click HERE for details. If you have a loved one who is living with hoarding challenges, click HERE to explore our programs for families.

For more information about hoarding, please click HERE or consult one of the organizations below. There are also some helpful resources, websites, and books HERE.
